"Perhaps he was being too hard on himself, though. He was of an age where it was never possible to pursue one errand at a time. He must do many at once. He guessed that people who had lived right and arranged things properly must have it all rigged so that all of their quests ran in parallel, and reinforced and supported one another just so. They gained reputations as conjurers. Others found their errands running at cross purposes and were never able to do anything; they ended up seeming mad, or else perceived the futility of what they were doing and gave up, or turned to drink. Daniel was not yet certain which category he was in, but he suspected he’d find out soon enough."

Self Analysis/Situational Awareness

Living situation: three months in with two new roommates. I’m feeling a little isolated… which is weird because I feel that I was invited to move into this space. Maybe they’re having second thoughts. More on this later.

Work Situation: one year in, no change in pay, no change in position, no additional responsibilities, no additional respect. There are some interesting opportunities revealing themselves over the horizon but nothing is set in stone. More on this later.

Social Situation: a few more friends, a few more problems, still no one I feel close to in this city. Big surprise - more on this later.

Relationship Situationno significant other - not even close. Still haven’t had more than two or three dates with a single woman since spring of 2010. There are, however, some fascinating things afoot:

  1. Code name ‘Sacramento’
  2. Code name ‘Ringmaster’
  3. Code name ‘New Wheels’
  4. Code name ‘Magnet’

… and a few on-going OkC users I’m excited about.

Fresh Start

Gonna’ start all over again - keeping things personal this time. It’s important to have a place to keep your thoughts.
